A New York City Cop Bought $100 Boots for a Homeless Man With Bare Feet
On Wednesday, November 14th, the temperature in New York City got down to 36 degrees . . . and the high for the day was only 47.
Lawrence DePrimo is a 25-year-old NYPD officer, and he was on patrol in Times Square that night, when he saw a homeless man with bare feet sitting on the sidewalk.
Lawrence was wearing two pairs of socks, and his feet were STILL cold . . . so he decided to help the guy out.
He went into a nearby Sketchers store and picked out a pair of $100 boots. When the clerk found out what Lawrence was doing, he used his employee discount . . . so Lawrence only had to pay $75.
Then he went back outside and gave them to the homeless guy. A tourist from Arizona happened to see the whole thing, took a photo, and posted it on the police department's Facebook page.
