A few weeks ago, in Vassar, Michigan, residents welcomed home two of their own. Master Sargeant Tim Larrison and Specialist Katelyn Larrison returned from a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan. However, it wasn't the first time that Tim has been deployed.

He is a trooper with the Michigan State Police and was eligible for retirement from the Army Reserves. Larrison decided that instead of retirement, he would sign up for another round of deployment so he could join his 19-year old daughter during her first deployment.

Talk about possibly making the ultimate sacrifice just to be around and help out your daughter!
