I was the CMA Large Market Broadcast personality of the Year in 2000, and the Country Radio Broadcasters Large Market Broadcast personality of the Year in 2001. I grew up on a horse farm in Atlanta, Georgia! My parents and Sister own and operate Ward Stables located north of Atlanta, one of the top American Saddlebred Training facilities in the Southeast! Graduated from Colonial Hills Christian High School in 1986, Jefferson State College in 1990, and Auburn University in 1992. I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan, and adopted the Pittsburgh Steelers as my Pro football team when I got married. I began my radio career while attending college, with my first job in radio as a sportscaster at Auburn University. (I bleed Orange and Blue! Go Tigers!)

I spend my free time playing with my Grandson Rydan, and hanging out with my husband whenever we aren't both working. I enjoy family & friends, Caribbean vacations as often as possible. Racing & horses. Christian faith. I love to help others through volunteerism:

Winston-Salem North Carolina police officer Charles Ziegler was off duty last week, working at his side job doing security for a local church, when he noticed a mother pushing her child’s stroller in the rain and offered to give her a lift.

By 3 p.m. that afternoon, he was an Internet celebrity.

Ziegler found himself the center of attention when a photo of his kind act was posted to Twitter by Ed McNeal, the director of marketing and communications for the city of Winston-Salem. It was a cold and rainy day, and McNeal was impressed by the officer's thoughtful gesture.
