Country stars get literally hundreds of Twitter requests a day asking for retweets, greetings, meetings and more, making it nearly impossible to respond to them all. But one caught Blake Shelton's attention, and it's a big one!

Yesterday (Jan. 29), Blake received a tweet from a follower asking him to read a piece from Evansville, Ind., TriState Home Page about Iraq vet Brendon Marrocco. Brendon had been injured when his vehicle was bombed, rendering him a quadruple amputee. Recently, the soldier underwent a double-arm transplant and said that the first person he wanted to shake hands with was . . . Blake.

Blake has not only responded that he will make it happen, but has also tweeted Brendon directly, writing, "Hey Brendon. I can't wait to shake the hand of an American Hero/Stud. You my brother."
